1.1 A/ASP (NPCC) Latifah bte Abdul Latiff has taken over the duties of OC Unit from Mr Chia Kiah Loon Ryan with effect from 4th November 2011. Mr Chia will be leaving the school at the end of the year. We wish him all the best at his new school.

End of Unit Orders for November 2011

During the respective camps, campers were able to challenge their fears in the Rope Elements Course, view the landscape of Pulau Ubin and have a feel of the sea in their kayaking and Water Confidence Jump activity.

The Survival Training Camp had an additional element where campers were also educated on several survival skills such as Fire Starting and Survival Cooking.

Despite all the fun and exciting activities, all the campers also had to adhere to strict camp rules, where sense of urgency and teamwork was greatly emphasised.

At the end of the camps, a prize presentation ceremony was held where awards were given out.

For ATC, the Best Group Award was presented to Group Bravo while L/Cpl (NPCC) Kon Wen Xuan and L/Cpl (NPCC) Fam Hui Jiung, both of CCHS(M) NPCC Unit, walked away with the Best Male and Female Camper respectively.

For STC, the Best Group Award was presented to Group 2 while Sgt (NPCC) Kwang Yu Xiang of CCHS(M) NPCC Unit and Juzanvina Junadi of TKGS NPCC Unit walked away with the Best Male and Female Camper respectively.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all prize recipients and hope to see the Area 11 Campers put in an even better performance next year!

We are proud to announce that our Girls’ team captained by Cpl (NPCC) Carmen Ho Kah Mun and consisting of S/Sgt (NPCC) Han Hui Ping, S/Sgt (NPCC) Yap Zhen Yu Florence, S/Sgt (NPCC) Tan Qiao Wen and Cpl (NPCC) Lim Yee Le Elise has managed to clinch a very respectable overall 12th position, missing out on the finals just by two places.

Cpl (NPCC) Carmen Ho Kah Mun was also placed 14th in the Individual Girls Category out of 584 competitors with a score of 138 out of a possible 200! Congratulations!

The Boys team was also ranked joint 113th in the Boys’ team category.

Even though none of our teams or cadets make it to the final rounds, we are very proud of all of you!
We hope that all CCHS(M) NPCC cadets will try harder next year as we aim to reach the finals!

Held on 8th and 9th June in Chung Cheng High School (Main), the Area 11 LMSC has seen 86 Sec 3 Cadet Leaders-to-be  from the schools in Area 11 attending the course. Through lectures, discussions and various activities, the LMSC seeks to equip the Sec 3 cadets with the necessary skills required for a Cadet Leader.

We would like to extend our thanks to all Instructors and Officers who had put in their time and effort to make the course a success. We wish all cadets who have attended the course all the best in their year as Cadet Leaders in their Unit! See you all again during Survival Training Camp!

Passing Out Parade 2011

The end of the 47th Cadet Leaders’ Committee term in office was marked with the Passing Out Parade (POP), held on 21st May 2011. The POP is held in appreciation of the Cadet Leaders’ year long hard work and relentless efforts in running the Unit.

The POP has seen Cadet Leaders, Cheong Kai Xiong and Lim Xin Hui, promoted to the rank of Station Inspector, the highest rank achievable for a cadet.

We also extend our congratulations to SI (NPCC) Cheong Kai Xiong, SI (NPCC) Lim Xin Hui, S/Sgt (NPCC) Lee Hui Ying and S/Sgt (NPCC) Tan Qiao Wen, who received the Distinguish Service Award, which are awarded to Cadet Leaders who have shown utmost dedication and great service to the Unit over the past year.

We wish all members of the 47th Cadet Leaders’ Committee the best in everything they do, especially their ‘O’ Levels examinations at the end of the year.

At the same time, the 48th Cadet Leaders’ Committee was formed and will be running the Unit for the next year. We hope that all Officers and cadets will continue to give them their support that was given to the 47th Cadet Leaders’ Committee. Under the leadership of the Unit Chairperson, Cpl (NPCC) Kwang Yu Xiang, we look forward to them in bringing the Unit into new and greater heights!

The SPF-NPCC Badge is the pinnacle award given to deserving Cadet Leaders for their outstanding leadership and contribution to the Unit. In its 14th year since 1997, CCHS(M) NPCC Unit has seen 4 of our Cadets Leaders awarded the badge together with 151 other recipients amongst all graduating NPCC cadets in Singapore!

S/Sgt (NPCC) Cheong Kai Xiong, S/Sgt (NPCC) Han Hui Ping, S/Sgt (NPCC) Lim Xin Hui and S/Sgt (NPCC) Tan Yen Ling  of the 47th Cadet Leaders’ Committee received their badges and certificates from DCP Wong Hong Kuan, Deputy Commissioner (Policy), Singapore Police Force, during the SPF-NPCC Badge Presentation Ceremony 2011 that was held at Xinmin Secondary School on 21st April 2011.

Congratulations to all the recipients and we hope that CCHS(M) NPCC Unit will continue to have recipients of the SPF-NPCC Badge every year!
