All cadets start from the rank of Cadet (NPCC) and work towards promotion to the next higher rank through excellence in performance and attitude. Promotion exercises are carried out twice yearly to assess the cadets’ abilities and proficiency level in various aspects of NPCC training. The minimum level for promotion to the various ranks are as follows:
